Photographing the details – Wedding Shoes

Today I am going to start a series of blog posts about photographing the details at weddings. As with all weddings the devil is in the detail and a huge amount of planning and effort, (not to mention money!) goes into organising every aspect of a wedding, as a wedding photographer I see it as part of my job to capture those details, providing a tangible reminder of every little thing from your big day. We’ll kick off the series with the wedding shoes.

Everyone knows that ladies love shoes, and it comes as no surprise that a lot of time and energy goes into the hunt for the perfect wedding shoes for the bride, this also applies to some of the grooms too! Whether the bride has taken the time to find a pair of shoes that colour match her dress, or chosen a contrasting colour the shoes are a detail of the wedding that I always try to capture and provide a memory of those shoes long after you’ve stopped wearing them.

So whether its Jimmy Choo’s or Louboutin’s or a pair of Brogues, I’ve got it covered, below are a selection of wedding shoe photographs from a few of my recent weddings.

  • Catherine Kelly - What a nice idea, love the one with the stain glass window.

  • skreid - Thanks Catherine, yes the stained glass shot is one of my favourites too.
