Between Christmas and the New Year I was once again at one of my regular venues, the Old Course Hotel for Gregor and Lesley’s lovely St Andrews Wedding.

It was a beautiful sunny day with the Autumn colours in full bloom when I turned up for Emma and Jonny’s wedding at the Dalmahoy Hotel in Edinburgh.

I remember that the weather leading up to the wedding day had not been that great but we were blessed with a clear and fresh Autumn day, we couldn’t have asked for more.

Emma had chosen not to have any preparation photo’s so my day started at the hotel meeting up with Jonny and his Bestman and capturing some images of all the little details of the table decorations that Emma and her friends had spent many hours making.

Soon it was time for Emma to arrive and the Humanist wedding ceremony to begin and for my day to kick in to high gear.

After exchanging vows and signing the register we took advantage of the fantastic surroundings of the Dalmahoy and headed out onto the golf course in a golf cart to capture a few portraits of the happy couple.

Then it was a break for me while the guests sat down for their wedding breakfast before starting the party and making full use of the Photo Booth!

A wonderful Dalmahoy wedding, a brilliant venue, one I look forward to returning to soon.

If you are considering having your wedding at the Dalmahoy, (or indeed anywhere else for that matter), then please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss your wedding photography requirements.

Below are a few images from Jonny and Emma’s wedding at the Dalmahoy Hotel.

I’ll sign off with a few kind words from Emma and Jonny.

Our photos arrived today and we couldn’t be happier! Your attention to detail has been excellent, even down to the way you packaged up the photos and USB, what an amazing job! – Emma & Jonny

At the start of July I was the photographer for Archie and Susan’s Rufflets Hotel Wedding in St Andrews, the Rufflets is a beautiful hotel just on the outskirts of St Andrews. The ceremony and reception took place in the garden suite and of course we had use of the formal gardens to the rear of the hotel as well.

As normal my day started with the bride and her bridesmaids at Greyfriars Hotel for some detail and bridal preparation images.

Then it was a quick stop off at the Hotel du Vin to see Archie before heading off to Rufflets for the ceremony. After a lovely service everyone moved outside to the gardens for the reception complete with ice cream, which was a welcome relief on such a hot sunny day!

Once the speeches were done I left the couple and their guests to enjoy the wedding breakfast in peace while I took a well-earned rest and had something to eat myself.

Before long it was time for the first dance and the evening party to kick off, and what a party!

Below you can see a selection of images from Archie and Susan’s Rufflets hotel wedding, there is an area at the bottom of the page if you would like to leave the happy couple a message, and don’t forget that you can also view their wedding slideshow too.

After a busy wedding season I’m trying to catch up with blogging some of this years weddings, so today we start with Scott and Nicole’s beautiful fife wedding.

Scott and Nicole got married at St Columba’s Church in Cupar before travelling through to Lower College Hall, part of St Salvators Quad in St Andrews for their reception and evening party.

My day started off with a quick visit to see Nicole at her parents house to capture a few preparation images before heading off to the church in Cupar to meet up with Scott and his grooms men.

After a lovely service it was a short drive through to St Andrews and on with the celebrations.

Below you’ll find a selection of images from Scott and Nicole’s wedding and don’t forget to view their wedding slideshow at the bottom of the page.
