Early June saw me photography Sam and Laura’s St Andrews wedding. The ceremony took place in Holy Trinity Church, in the centre of the town, also know as the Town Church, then the reception was held at St Andrews Golf Club, overlooking the world famous 18th Green of the Old Course.
Laura is originally from St Andrews but both Sam and Laura now live in the United States and had flown in a week before their big day and a lot was packed into that week, including, but not limited too, a pre-wedding photo session, a stag and a hen night a human sized chicken and a live size cut-out of wonder woman!
The day started out with the bride and her bridesmaids at Laura’s mothers home, before moving on to the guys at their house then on to the church. After the ceremony the guests were piped through the town down to the St Andrews Golf Club for the reception by St Andrews Piper, Paul Webster. With a large number of the guests being from the United States this was something what was loved by all.
Weather wise we couldn’t have asked for a better day, the sun was shining and the wind was calm, a beautiful day to have a St Andrews Wedding.
Scottish and North American cultures came together to create a fantastic fun and entertaining wedding although I can’t say how many of the guest understood the Address to the Haggis!
Below you can see a selection from Sam and Laura’s beautiful St Andrews Wedding, and I’ll leave you with a few words from Laura herself:
“Huge, HUGE thanks all of your hard work and for making our wedding day fun, relaxed and filled with laughs!
The photos are absolutely fantastic! I just love looking at all the pictures, it went by in such a blur that there were so many things that I forgot that the pictures reminded me of. Really great, everyone is raving about you.”
