At the end of June I photographed Andrew and Danielle’s beautiful St Andrews Wedding at the Old Course Hotel. Standing on the edge of the famous Old Course at the Home of Golf I’m lucky enough to photograph many weddings at this iconic venue, a fantastic hotel with the historic town of St Andrews right on its door step.

Below you’ll find Andrew and Danielle’s wedding slideshow, I would recommend watching it in fullscreen mode. Please feel free to leave a comment for the happy couple underneath.

Keep an eye on my Facebook page if you’d like to see more from their wedding, I’ll be sharing a few more images from their wedding on there soon.

For brides to be looking for a photographer, I cover wedding all over Scotland and the UK and include a slideshow like this as part of my full day wedding coverage.

Mr & Mrs Deane, while still on their honeymoon, have seen their slideshow and I’ll leave you with a few kind words from Danielle herself:

“Wow we have just viewed our Slideshow and we love it! Such a fantastic way to capture the highlights from our special day. Thank you so much for your hard work and efforts – the work you produce is fantastic!”

  • Emma Tanser - What an utterly amazing way to remember your day! Thank you for sharing such a glorious time in your lives with Kevin and myself.

I photographed Chris and Verity’s Kilconquhar Castle Estate wedding last weekend, a lovely wedding venue in the heart of the East Neuk of Fife.

Below you’ll find their wedding slideshow, I would recommend watching it in fullscreen mode. Please feel free to leave a comment for the happy couple underneath.

A few weeks ago I met up with Archie and Susan in Pollok Park for their Glasgow Engagement Shoot. Archie and Susan are getting married at The Hotel Du Vin in St Andrews in July this year.

The May Day weather held out for us and we had a great time walking around the beautiful park and capturing some lovely couple shots of the two of them.

I’ve said it before, but having an engagement shoot prior to your wedding is a great way for us all to get to know each other a little better, it lets you see how I work and allows you to get used to being in front of the camera and relax a little. We also have a little time to chat about your wedding day and plan a few things out.

Another advantage is that I also get to see how you, the clients, are as a couple, how you interact with both me and the camera and your other half. This is great for me and gives me an idea of how I can direct you on the wedding day itself to get the best photos possible.

Most people are not used to being in front of the camera and feel quite awkward at first when they start posing for photos, especially in public places, but before long the nerves fade away and they relax and start to enjoy the shoot.

Below are a selection of my favourite images from Archie and Susan’s Glasgow Engagement Shoot:

At the end of May I photographed Simon and Laura’s lovely small Scottish wedding at Anstruther Town Hall. As a Fife wedding photographer based in Scotland I get to document weddings at all sorts of wonderful venues, from 5 star Hotel Weddings to ancient Scottish Castle weddings, but I also get the opportunity to tone things down and photograph lovely intimate weddings at much smaller venues.

I approach each wedding in the same way irrespective of the venue and size, Laura had opted not to have coverage of the bridal preparations so my day started at the town hall with the groom and the best man. Although I did stop off at Laura’s hotel to grab a quick shot of her dress before heading off to meet up with Simon.

Simon and Laura had spent a lot of time decorating the hall, with Laura making a lot of the decorations herself which meant that there were lots of little personal touches. Not to mention that they had one of the cutest little bridesmaids ever.

The whole day was a blast, the weather stayed fair and we even managed to walk down to the beach for a few portrait shots of Mr & Mrs Graham.

Below are a few of my favourite images from their wedding, you can also find their wedding slideshow at the bottom of the page.

Please feel free to leave the happy couple a message below the images if you would like to.

  • Pets Pantry - wonderfull pictures at a fantastic venue

  • Ryan Johnson - Hi,

I’m looking for a price on a small bespoke wedding package?

My girlfriend and I are booked to get married at St Andrew’s registrar office in October this year. The wedding party is only going to include my two young children. I’m really only looking for a few snaps at the registrar office and nothing else.

We were originally going to take our digital camera as its a very low key service however I feel like we need a professional photographer. Would you be interested in this kind of thing?

    Best Regards
    Ryan

  • skreid - Hi Ryan, I’ve sent you an email with some information.

    Many thanks,
    Stuart.

At the beginning of May I met up with Chris and Verity at Boarhills in Fife for their engagement shoot. We spent an hour or so wandering around the area chatting about their big day and capturing some lovely portraits of them.

Below are a few images from their session.

Looking forward to their wedding in a couple of weeks at Kilconquhar Castle Estate.

  • Charlette Wickham - What absolutely beautiful photographs, I love them. you both look gorgeous xxx

At the beginning of April I was back in St Andrews for Greig and Steph’s wedding at the beautiful Old Course Hotel. Unusually for a wedding at the Old Course Hotel I had a lot of travelling about to do prior to the ceremony.

So my day started by meeting up with Greig and his dad on the 17th tee of the Old Course to grab a few images of them on Grieg’s pre-wedding round of golf. I wont tell you whether Greig won or lost the match but I will say that after laughing at his dad hitting his 2nd shot on the 17th about 10 yards Greig proceeded to stick his ball straight into the Road Hole bunker, perhaps his mind was on other things!

Then it was time for me to leave the groom and head over to Sutherlands Hair and Beauty in Tayport to meet up with Steph and her bridesmaids. After capturing some images here I headed over to Cupar to the house where Steph was getting ready to get a few details shots of the dresses, shoes and flowers.

Then I was on the move again, back in to St Andrews for a quick visit to Grieg’s parents house to spend a little time with the groom and his groomsmen before heading back over to Cupar to get some shots of the Bride, her bridesmaids and parents before they left for the ceremony.

Steph arrived at the hotel in style in an Audi R8, not a your run of the mill wedding car, but stylish none the less. As with most Old Course Hotel weddings the ceremony took place in the conservatory after which I whisked the happy couple away down to the West Sands for a few couple portraits before letting them go up to the Road Hole Bar for their reception.

The wedding breakfast normally takes place in one of the hotel’s ballrooms but Greig and Steph had chosen to have their meal in the conservatory instead, it’s a lovely bright room and certainly makes a change from the windowless ballrooms. After the speeches were done it was time for me to leave them to enjoy their meal, and for me to sit down and have something to eat too.

Soon the evening party was ready to kick off with music provided by the Black Sheep Music Society, a brilliant live band who very quickly got the dance floor full of bodies pulling all sorts of strange moves. As the party got in to full swing I took Grieg and Steph outside again for a couple more portrait shots on the Swilcan Bridge.

below are a few of my favourite images from their wedding, you can also find the wedding slideshow at the bottom of the page. Please feel free to leave the happy couple a message below the images if you would like to.

  • Carol Anne Nicol - FANTASTIC

  • Carol Anne Nicol - Wow what a brilliant video. Beautiful bride. loved the dress.

On Easter weekend I met up with Kevin and Fiona underneath the Forth Bridge in South Queensferry for their engagement shoot. I like it when the location of these sessions means something to the couple, and this one was very special, this is where Kevin proposed to Fiona.

The Forth Bridge is a fabulous feat of engineering and makes a stunning backdrop to use for photos, that tied with the beautiful sunshine made this a great engagement session for Kevin and Fiona.

Below is a few of my favourites from their shoot.
