At the end of August I travelled down to meet up with Michelle and Bob for their Lockerbie wedding at Tundergarth Church.

Below is their wedding slideshow, I would recommend that you watch it in Fullscreen mode. Please feel free to leave a message for the happy couple beneath if you wish.

  • Siobhan Innes - Beautiful. Brought a tear to my eye. What a lovely day captured in the perfect way

Mark and Ginny’s Woolacombe Bay Hotel wedding was the second of two weddings I shot over a weekend in April in North Devon with my good friend and fellow photographer Matt Fryer who owns and runs Matt Fryer Photography.

Matt had asked me to travel down and second shoot with him for Chris and Nat’s wedding the day before and as I was already there I also helped cover Mark and Ginny’s too.

The wedding was all taking place at the Woolacombe Bay Hotel and while Matt started the day with the bride I set about photographing the reception room details before heading off to a nearby apartment to meet up with Mark, his best man and his dad. Groom preparations complete we all headed off back to the hotel to await the guests arrival. The weather was a little sunnier and warmer than the previous day, so after the ceremony everyone headed out on to the lawn in front of the hotel for some drinks and group photos.

After the reception and speeches Matt and myself were able to sit down and relax while the wedding breakfast was served. Then it was all go for the first dance and on with the evening entertainment.

We left with the party in full swing, A beautiful day, a lovely couple and a wonderful wedding, below are a few of my images from Mark and Ginny’s Wedding to see more head over to Matt’s website

I’m happy to cover wedding all over the UK and beyond, if you are interested in booking me to photograph your wedding please just get in touch.

Many of my wedding clients who get married in St Andrews are not from the town. Some have connections with it, perhaps going to university here, for others it’s the golf. Being the home of golf St Andrews is at the top of the list for many when it comes to places to visit and for the well-travelled Andrew and Danielle it was the place they chose to get married.

The Old Course Hotel is a beautiful venue for you wedding, standing at the edge of the famous 17th “Road Hole” overlooking the Old Course and within easy reach of many wonderful locations around the town it is easy to see why so many people choose to get married there.

I started my day with Danielle and her bridesmaids at the hotel for the getting ready shots before heading off to see Andrew and his grooms men. After making sure that everyone was wearing their kilts correctly it was off downstairs to the conservatory to await the arrival of the bride.

After the ceremony was over everyone moved up to the Road Hole Bar on the top floor of the hotel for the drinks reception, while Andrew, Danielle and I tried to beat the weather and take a trip to the beach before the rain came on. A mission we successfully accomplished….. just!

The wedding then moved down to the ballroom for the meal and the evening party to continue in to the small hours.

Below are a few images from Andrew and Danielle’s Old Course Hotel Wedding. Don’t forget, you can also view their wedding slideshow here.

  • Carol Anne Nicol - Wow gorgeous photos absolutely stunning ?

  • Tom Bruce - Absolutely Stunning pics xxx

  • Irene Kalivoda Amos - Beautiful!

At the beginning of April I packed my camera gear up and headed off to Edinburgh airport to fly down to meet up with my friend and wedding photographer Matt Fryer, who owns and runs Matt Fryer Photography in North Devon, to help him cover two of his weddings over one weekend.

About two years ago I had asked Matt to come up and second shoot Helen and Tom’s wedding in St Andrews and when he asked me if I was able to come down to North Devon to second shoot with him I jumped at the chance to be able to return the favour.

First up on the Saturday it was Chris and Nat’s wedding at St Brannocks Church. It was a pretty strange feeling heading off to a venue I’d never been to before to meet up with a groom whom I’d never met, but when Chris and his grooms men arrived it was plain to see that we’d get on perfectly!

It’s nice to be a second photographer once in a while, I get to take a step back and look at things differently than if I was shooting a wedding on my own.  The wedding ceremony was held at St Brannocks Church in Braunton, after the service and a few shots outside the church it was then off to Saunton Sands Hotel for their reception. In the evening I was charged with manning the Beach Hut Photo Booth for Matt, something that always adds a huge amount of fun to any wedding!

A brilliant day, and while the weather was a little colder then wished for at least it did stay dry for us.

Here are a few shots from Chris and Nat’s wedding, to see more just head over to Matt’s website.

As a wedding photographer I’m happy to travel to shoot a wedding anywhere in the world, for weddings further than 50 miles from St Andrews the only additional extra on top of my fee would be my travel and accommodation costs.

On the longest day of the year I photographed Chris and Verity’s wonderful Kilconquhar Castle wedding.

As normal my day started with Verity and the bridesmaids at one of the lodges at Kilconquhar Castle for the bridal preparations and to capture some detail shots of the dress, shoes and flowers etc.

After a couple of hours I left them alone while I went off to catch up with Chris and his best man.

With the weather holding out the ceremony was to take place outside on the lawn of the castle and that’s where I found the nervous groom.

After spending some time with Chris I stopped by the reception room to get some of the room details before heading back to Verity to get the final preparation images.

After the ceremony, the sun was still shining so the drinks reception took place outside before the guests headed inside the marquee for the wedding breakfast. Once the speeches were done I left the couple and guests to enjoy their meal in peace while I took a well-earned rest and had a meal myself.

Soon it was time for the first dance and the evening party to kick off, and boy did they party!

Being the longest day there was never going to be a real sunset but we did get outside later on to capture some beautiful couple portraits.

Below you can see a selection of images from Chris and Verity’s Kilconquhar Castle wedding, there is an area at the bottom if you would like to leave the happy couple a message, and don’t forget that you can also view their wedding slideshow too.

I’ll sign off with a final few words from Verity:
Amazing! Can’t believe how great they are, how happy we all look and what a fantastic job you’ve done. Can’t tell you how many people have said how lucky we were to have you and how wonderful the slideshow is! We still watch it everyday!
