On a beautiful spring day at the beginning of April I met up with Susan and Jim for their colourful Anstruther wedding.

As usual I started my day with Susan and the girls for the bridal preparation before moving on to the church and finally across the road to the town hall for the party.

A fantastic day with brilliant weather and a wonderful couple. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Dyer!

Below is Susan and Jim’s Anstruther wedding slideshow, please feel free to leave the happy couple a message underneath if you wish.

I first met Matt at one of my weddings last year (hello Craig and Hannah) both Matt and Janey then came through to my office to discuss photographing their wedding, they had chosen a fantastic venue and before long I was pleased when they booked me to photograph their Boturich Castle Wedding on the banks of Loch Lomond. This is a fantastic venue and the views are just stunning no matter what the time of year or weather.

I started my day with Janey and the girls for the bridal preparations before heading in to Glasgow for the ceremony at Dennistoun New Parish Church. Afterwards it was the short drive up to Loch Lomond for their wedding reception and evening entertainment. Matt and Janey also hired the Photo Booth so there was plenty of shenanigans going on and some hilarious images from the booth as the evening progressed.

A truly magnificent wedding day and wonderful couple and group of friends, I look forward to meeting some of you again at the next couple from your group to get married!

Below you can watch Matt and Janey’s Boturich Castle Wedding photofilm. Many congratultions Mr and Mrs McQuade!

Balmerino and St Andrews Wedding

In July it was my turn to visit Balmerino Parish Church for Stuart and Sarah’s beautiful Balmerino and St Andrews Wedding. Balmerino is a small village in North East Fife and the church is in a wonderful quiet location.

As usual my day started in the morning, meeting up with Sarah and the bridesmaids at the the hairdressers before heading to Sarah’s parents house to finish getting ready for the wedding and to get some more images of the bridal preparations. From there it was off to the church for the ceremony then afterwards on to the New Golf Club in St Andrews for the meal and evening party. With the golf club being right on the 18th fairway it was very handy to nip outside for a few couple portraits on the Swilken Bridge at sunset.

Their day flew by very fast but it was a fantastic day, with such a wonderful couple, a great group of family and friends and a whole lot of love.

Below you can watch Stuart and Sarah’s Balmerino and St Andrews Wedding photofilm. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Seldon!

Banchory Lodge Wedding

Back in June I was up up in Banchory for Richard and Sophie’s wonderful Banchory Lodge Wedding. A stunning location on the banks of the River Dee. Unfortunately the Scottish weather played it’s part and Sophie and Richard were unable to hold their ceremony outside as planned so instead it was inside the main room of the hotel. Still a stunning setting for a wedding though!

My day started by meeting up with Richard and his twin brother (fortunately for me they were not identical!) on the 1st tee of the nearby Inchmarlo golf course for a few photos before I headed down to Banchory Lodge to meet up with Sophie and the ladies getting ready. Their day flew by in the blink of an eye and a brilliant day it was too, with such a wonderful couple and a great group of family and friends.

Below you can watch Richard and Sophie’s Banchory Lodge Wedding photofilm, one of their friends, Sam sang during their ceremony, the first song in the slideshow is Sam singing his version of the song “how long will I love you”, something they can cherish for years to come. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Stephenson!

Old Course Hotel Wedding

At the start of May I was back in St Andrews for Darren and Jemma’s fantastic Old Course wedding. I never tire of photographing at this venue, it’s a brilliant hotel and the staff are excellent. My day as started with Jemma and the bridesmaids before heading up the the pub in St Andrews to meet up with Darren and the groomsmen. Then it was of to Holy Trinity Church for the ceremony before heading back to the Old Course Hotel to continue their celebrations.

A truly epic couple and a great group of family and friends made this day one to remember, below you can view Darren and Jemma’s wedding slideshow. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Finlay!

  • Wilma Mitchell - Was more emotional watching the video than I was at the Wedding. Really well done xx

Back in December Paul and Lauren had their beautiful Old Course Hotel Wedding during one of the worst storms to hit the area for a while. Although this did not dampen the party one bit!

Unfortunately the weather beat us back from venturing outside as the winds were strong enough to close bridges but we still managed to capture some amazing images of Paul and Lauren’s wedding.

A brilliant day with a wonderful couple and lovely group of family and friends.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Cree!

At the beginning of September I was once again back at one of my favourite local venues for Grant and Nicola’s Craigsanquhar Hotel Wedding.

Beautiful weather, fantastic people and a brilliant couple all added up to a truly wonderful wedding day.

A few weeks ago I photographed Colin and Jennifer’s wonderful Craigsanquhar Hotel Wedding. Craigsanquhar Hotel is a stunning country house hotel set in beautiful surroundings not far from St Andrews.

I started my day with some preparation photos of Jennifer and the bridesmaids getting their hair and make-up done in one of the hotel rooms before heading down to meet up with Colin before the ceremony.

We were lucky with the weather that the rain held off and they couple were able to get married on the lawn in front of the hotel, a location that offers a lovely backdrop for the ceremony with fantastic views over the fields and hills.

Afterwards everyone headed off the the coach house for the reception, wedding breakfast and evening party, including the brilliant Photo Booth from justforpix!

A truly excellent day with a wonderful group of people and a fantastic bride and groom, below you can view Colin and Jennifer’s wedding photofilm, I hope you enjoy watching it.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Richardson!

In August I headed back down to Dumfries and Galloway for David and Ashley’s fantastic Lockerbie Wedding.

After spending the morning with Ashley and her bridesmaids it was of to St Mungo Church for the ceremony before everyone headed back to David and Ashley’s farm for the reception and evening entertainment.

A wonderful day with brilliant, fun-loving people, congratulations Mr and Mrs Stodart!
